Pousada Tauma
This small, pretty boutique hotel is built of laterite (a local red pitted stone) and is located in the Calangute area. Stay here if you want to be far enough away from the beach (less than a kilometre), yet close enough to be part of the action when you choose to. The rooms are decorated with paintings, sculptures and custom-designed furniture.
Taj Holiday Village
This tropical resort is designed as a sort of luxurious Goan village and consists of tile-roofed villas scattered around gardens and lawns that face the Sinquerim beach. The Goan-style villas are like separate, elegant homes. Each villa has a gorgeous large terrace with upholstered garden furniture, 1 or 2 bedrooms, and several other rooms. Also, a regular shuttle takes you down the hill to the nearby Taj Fort Aguada Beach Resort, which shares the reception and other facilities.
Fort Aguada Beach Resort
Located in the Taj complex of resorts and built within the boundary of an old, Portuguese fort, this hotel has gorgeous views of the fort, sea and beach. Casa Britona
This 17th Century colonial-style boutique hotel ensures privacy and tranquility. There are only eight individually furnished rooms. Ask for a room on the first floor; these share a long veranda overlooking the pool. The hotel also provides excellent service. On the boardwalk are tables where you can be served a lovely dinner by candlelight.
Nilaya Hermitage
This exclusive hillside resort is perfect for a Goan vacation! There are 12 cosmic-themed guest suites featuring vibrant colours, terrazzo flooring and minimalist décor.
