Goa Midrange Hotels
North Goa
Laguna Anjuna
This beautiful hotel is located less than a kilometre from the beach, but in a secluded area. The elegant cottages, each with one or two bedrooms, have gorgeous red floors, soft lighting, entertainment areas with sofas, and pretty, blue bathrooms. The resort has a pool and plenty of greenery. It also has its own restaurant.
This small boutique hotel is a wonderful place to relax, and you have access to the secluded Arambol beach. It occupies a 300-year-old Portuguese villa in Siolim village, on the south bank of the Chapora River. The very large, well-furnished rooms feature whitewashed walls with hand-painted friezes, solid wood-beamed ceilings and mother-of-pearl windowpanes. The villa was restored in 1996. A new bridge across the Chapora makes it easy to access the beaches north of the river in Pernem; as long as you have a car or bicycle (it’s about 6 or 7 km from the Siolim House to the Pernem beaches).
Located in the Bardez district, this hotel is known for its friendly staff and good service. The rooms are all named after flowers and are cozy and tastefully furnished with well-restored antiques that include: four-poster beds, sofas, desks and wardrobes. The simple bathrooms do contain bathtubs. The poolside restaurant, Turkish Grill, serves the only Turkish food in Goa.
Panjim & Central Goa
Located in the centre of Panjim is this very clean, comfortable and modern hotel. The rooms are large and spacious.
Mayfair Hotel
It is a very colourful hotel with mosaic-tiled murals in the lobby. The rooms are quite standard and small, but very clean. Goan oyster-shell windows decorate the interior of the rooms as well.
South Goa
William’s Beach Resort
One of Colva’s better midrange hotels, which offers comfortable ground-level rooms. There is also a decent-size pool. The restaurant, Bambooze, is open from 8am-10:30pm.
It is located near the edge of the water! All the rooms have fantastic views of San Diego Island and the sea. The rooms, in this six-storey high-rise, can be difficult to book, as the hotel is usually crowded with tourists.
Coconut Creek
This quaint little hotel is on a dense coconut plantation, which is just a two minute walk from Bogmalo beach and a three minute drive from Dabolim airport. This resort has spotless, airy rooms and a small swimming pool.
Heritage Villa Club
It is a very lively resort, which has lovely pool with a swim-up bar. The rooms are simple yet comfortable. The resort is quite popular with tour groups from other Indian states. Rates include all meals, and a few unlimited local beverages. The ayurvedic spa is popular as well. The resort operates largely on an all-inclusive package, with 3-night to 4-day packages.
This is primarily a timeshare apartment, which is located in the Varca region. There is a three-tier swimming pool; one level is a hot tub. The secluded Varca beach is just a short walk away.
It is located in Benaulim and is one of the most relaxing places to stay. The quaint collection of cottages in a leafy garden contains a variety of rooms, from basic doubles in an old house to spacious newer rooms with balconies. There is also a nice restaurant and bar.
This resort is set in a very peaceful compound and offers clean and simple rooms. There is also a large pool, and the management is very friendly.
